Q) I don't tan outdoors. Will I be able to tan in a bed?

A) If you can't get color from the sun, you can't get color in a UV bed. However, our Versa Spa Spray Tan can give you a natural-looking tan without any UV exposure.

Q) How often should I tan?

A) In order to build a tan, it is important to tan regularly. Don't let too much time go by between visits, or your tan will begin to fade. You can tan up to once every 24 hours, but it is generally recommended that you wait at least 48 hours in between each session to allow your tan to fully develop in between visits. You can build up your tan by going to an indoor tanning facility three to four times a week. Once you have a tan, you can maintain it by tanning two or three times a week.

Q) Are there benefits to tanning?

A) Aside from the obvious benefit of having a fabulous tan, there are other benefits to tanning beds you may have not considered. New scientific research has been conducted whereby it has been identified that exposure to UV rays actually helps the body create a natural supply of Vitamin D. Since many unfortunate diseases are linked directly to Vitamin D deficiencies to include both osteoporosis and osteoarthritis, using a tanning bed to increase these vitamin levels is a huge benefit. In addition to strengthening bone, Vitamin D is also essential for the prevention of many forms of cancer to include prostate, colon, and breast.

Q) Are tanning lotions necessary?

A) Tanning without a lotion will deplete your skin of its much-needed moisture. Indoor tanning lotions can help stimulate the production of melanin so that your skin tans more quickly, gets darker and keeps its tan longer. Premium lotions deliver vitamins, moisturizers, natural oils and other ingredients to revitalize the skin and encourage melanin production.

Q) Is it okay for pregnant women to tan indoors?

A) One concern about pregnant women tanning is the heat. The temperature around the baby remains relatively constant at 98.6 degrees. Tanning beds usually do not produce enough heat for you or your baby to feel uncomfortable. You should always consult your physician before tanning while pregnant.

Q) How dark will I be after spray tanning?

A) Each person tans differently. One of the varying factors is your current base color. Someone that has already established a base tan will of course tan darker than someone that does not tan at all. The other factor is what level of tanning you choose. You have a choice between Level One being the lightest and Level Three being the darkest. No matter what your base color is, after your VersaSpa session you will leave with a beautiful bronze glow.
